An AMAZING offer,Hair dye,Lush Prize & Mini Haul

I went out on a last mintute christmas shop, which may i add was hectic! >.< There was a couple of thing's I needed, but like always I end up coming home with more! First off, I want to tell you all on this amazing offer, I was into tescos to get some food shopping for tonights tea and ended up in the beauty corner, as you do.... and on the bottom shelf i saw these two ambire solaire bottles and a little yellow sticker saying the price.
I normally buy the face mist, I've had many, all costing me around £6 for a smaller bottle, this ambire solaire tin is for the body, Ive always wanted to try this.
ANYWAY...I'm rambling...this 150ml bottle cost me £1.86! the normally retails at £10.99 in tescos, bloody bargain! Next to it, was the 150ml sun protection spray also retailing at £1.86 Normal price: 14.99 OH MY GOD, I love bargains, I know its winter, but I'm thinking ahead.;)
I just had to get it for my daughter. If your interested Pop into your local tesco and see if they have any of the tanning spray.. its too good to miss..

I went into superdrug next:
I bought a sleek pallete, I've been wanting one for ages..I got the original to start with, I most probably will be buying them all tho, there amazing! as I'm sure you've read on another blog, its the talk of the blogging town :)
I ran out of my Batiste dry shampoo, I normally get tropical, but this time i went for blush.
and while in the make up section I picked my mum a extra little pressie, shes always wanting some of my eyeko eye cream so I bought her one.

and finally my hair dye! I went for iced chocolate, my boyfriend was with me at the time, and he was advising me on what he likes, i dont know why but his opinion on the way i look matters alot to me, sooo..i went for iced chocolate! Il let you all know how i get on!

(Hello me!)
Here's the sleek eyeshadow palette, gorgeous colours..I feel some tutorials coming on!
any requests on a look you want me to do with these??Here's what I won on a twitter lush raffle!

Lush lush lush!

Lush was ever so kind to send me some things due to a product I bought that had a fault.
I wasn't expecting five things, I was expecting one and a maybe a sample!
I'm so pleased because I haven't owned anything expect snow fairy which I bought last time and love love loveee!

So what did I get? Please bare in mind I haven't used any of these except snow fairy, so cant give a full review.
.
Top left to bottom right-

Mister Butterball: In the shape of a snow man which is so cute, and has a cute name to match.
It says on the site Mr. Butterball blesses gives you with vanilla-scented, soft skin for Christmas I love the smell of vanilla so I'm so excited to try this.
Lush also say's:
Mr. Butterball has had work done. After a Synaesthesia massage and a Lush makeover, he's ready to rock this Christmas in a sexy new guise. Fortunately, he still smells of our sweet, soothing Ballistic and he still melts tiny pieces of creamy cocoa butter into the bathwater to moisturize and soften your whole body..- lovely (:

The Olive Branch shower gel:
This look interesting (:
Lush says:
If your body is beaten by the rigours of the rat race, accept an olive branch. The Olive Branch has a welcoming, Mediterranean warmth to it, with organic olive oil to soften your skin, an infusion of vine leaves, sea salt and the fresh juice of mandarins.

Snow Fairy Shower gel:
Love love loveee this, it smells so sweet, I actually look forward to getting in the shower with this! normally I hate showers in the winter, it leaves the skin super soft. & its pink! with a glittery shine..

The God Mother soap:
I haven't got a clue what this is like, I haven't even opened it yet, on the lush site its shocking pink..I'm looking forward to using this tho. I like my rock star soap, so I'm guessing this will be similar.
Lush says...
For really soft hands that smell like our best selling Snow Fairy shower gel.
It smells like snow fairy??? :):):)

So white ballistics:
OMG this smells gorgeous, I have to stock up on these!! I will miss them through out the year :(

Lush says:
Make a frothy blanket of apple-scented 'snow' for your bath. So White is the love-child of a Ballistic and Bubble Bar union. Rather than fizzing into nothing, it leaves behind a fresh snowfall on the water. Rose absolute is lovely for dry, rough or mature skins, allowing them to soak in a soothing water and relax weary, cluttered minds. Bergamot is a refreshing and fragrant oil to re-energize you when you're feeling run down.

Think Happy Thought's :)

Here are a few thing's I'm loving at the moment. I'm under so much stress lately, I have so many things to think about. So I decided to blog about....

Five things that cheer me up :)

1) My hot water bottle, how cute is this? it feels so soft.I love snuggling up to this when I'm feeling low, and as its winter I simply snuggle up to it for heat!

2) My current favorite purfume. Britney Spears Fantasy- is my new favorite smell, it smells sickly sweet and I just love it.

3)My slipper's, there so comfy, I also have ugg style ones that keep my feet warm, but my boyfriend keeps stealing them...and there pink! haha.

4) Lush baths. I love these all year round, but winter just makes them extra special, don't you all agree? my new favorite bomb is So white, the smell is so addictive. I wish I had a plug in air freshener of this.

5)My favorite moisturiser, I put this on to give my face a pick-me-up. Its by far the best Ive tried. It leaves your skin super soft and it hydrates. Its from the body shop & i recommend it to you all!

Eyeko!

I know I know,
I have been lacking in posts lately, I'm sorry! I have lost the battery charger for my camera, I need to find it soon because its my daughters birthday Thursday & I want to take loads of pictures! so today I'm going on a hunt for it, wish me luck!

Anyway more about this post, I have done this eyeko review before, but some how I deleted it. urgh its so annoying because I spent ages writing up a review!
Ive decided to post it again for my new followers, enjoy (:

Glitter liquid eyeliner in sliver *£5
Eyeko says:
  • For hardcore metallic eyes let the first coat dry before re-applying.
  • Draw the brush across the top lid as close to the lashes as possible for subtle shimmer.
  • Gently dot onto the end of your lashes for a sparkly dew drop effect.
  • Sweep across the whole lid on top of dark shadow for a striking glam Goth look.
Lauren Say's...
Recently Ive discovered glitter eyeliner, and I cannot rate it enough.
Its stunning!!
The sparkle around the eye is flattering.
Its a must have for a night out, esp if your wearing something glittery.
This is my first purchase on a glitter eyeliner, the next I'm looking to buy is the NO7 stay perfect eyeliner in sapphire. Its beautiful.

The applicator is easy to use, soft and does a perfect flick,
when applying I found that you didn't have to keep dipping the applicator in the bottle to apply more liner, one dip does the trick, it carries so much glitter.
The eyeliner stays on for ages! which is another plus point, to remove the swatches off my hand I had to really scrub.

Touch up & Glow Highlighter *£5
Eyeko Say's...
"For a soft focus sheen brush on to brow and cheek bones to lighten and lift.
For fuller lips highlight the cupids bow and wake up eyes with just a touch on the inner corners of your eyes."

Lauren Say's...
OH MY GOD, by far my favorite highlighter, I wear this all the time!
I wear it under my brow and on my check bones, the staying power is unbelievable.
It lasts all day...
The colour is perfect, its just my perfect high lighter.
and I urge you to go out and buy it!

The applicator is a brush which makes it easy to apply.
the swatch doesn't give it much justice, to benefit the full affects try some on your hand in
super drug!

3-in-1 Cream *£6
Eyeko says:
"To get that A-list glow skip foundation and use Eyeko Cream all over focusing on the eye and cheek area for lit from within skin."

Lauren Say's...
A moisturiser, high lighter and eye cream. 3 in 1? how awesome!

Obviously I had to get this, as I love the high lighter I wanted to see what this was like..and its basically the same colours, but I can put this all over my face,
I haven't tried it all over, I'm a little bit scared that id look like a ghost!
But I will give it a go some day.

The cream its self is very softening, and really does give the skin a glow.
I have used it as a eye cream, and it makes you look awake, which is always a good thing, especially as i never get a decent nights sleep.
Eyeko also says:
Infused with skin perfecting light reflectors and antioxidant Vitamins A& E plus a Vitamin C boost for a radiant, clear complexion.

You get a lot of product in the tiny tub.
I know it will last me a long time!

Tinted cream *£5
Eyeko say's.....
For radiant skin and a sun kissed glow try NEW Eyeko 3-in-1 Tinted Cream. Treat skin to the same luxuriously whipped texture made with super hydrating Jojoba boosted with antioxidants Vitamins A & E plus Vitamin C for a luminous finish as our No.1 bestseller Eyeko Cream.

Lauren Say's..
Well, it looks yummy doesn't it? I want to eat it!
It looks like chocolate. I'm guessing its a bad idea tho.
I was disappointed when i first swatched abit of this on my hand..
I was starting to think it would be too dark for my skin and just leave me looking mucky with no glow.
Until I rubbed it in and it got lighter...

It really gives you a sun kissed look.
I prefer using this with the pink tub of eyeko cream, it gives you a extra glow!

*You can find all these products in a UK super drug.
Or visit there website!
They have free shipping on ALL orders WORLDWIDE!
and if you enter my ambassador code on your order you'll get a freebie.

Aussie Comp. My entry

This is a Comp entry for Cupcakes and Cherries! The entry detail's are here.

The story is based upon Aussie, the Hair range.

Depressing England

Janie Never liked travelling. In fact she hated it, but when her dad decided to move back to his home in Australia she had no option. “What’s the big deal anyway?” asked Janie, while combing through her matted hair, that had just suffered a beating by the rain. Janie has long gorgeous blonde hair, although you never get to see the beauty of it, it’s always ruined by the typical English weather. “I don’t see why we have to move to Australia, I have friends here, I like my school, and I just don’t see the point.” Janie’s dad looked at her while she battled with her hair brush. “Australia is beautiful, I feel that it’s time for us to move on and I just-“He paused while looking out the car window. “Well there’s nothing left for us here anymore.” There was an awkward silence for a minute. Janie’s dad hasn’t had much with the ladies, ever since her mum dying when she was little, his had numerous girlfriends, but they never ever worked out, due to that fact he couldn’t move on. England reminded him too much of Janies mum but he didn’t want to admit it. Janie tried to break the silence “well I guess moving to Australia would be good for one thing, as its winter here it’ll be summer over there, which means no more wrecked hair!” they both laughed and drove home.

The beach Life
Two weeks later Janie and her Dad are sat on their balcony in Australia which over looks the most gorgeous beach, sun hitting their faces, cool drink in hand. “Yeah I suppose so” said Jeanie, “ I suppose I could get used to this!”

Later Janie headed down the beach. She stood on the golden sand which was almost as golden has her beautiful hair, she took in the beautiful aussie scenery. The waves crashed against the rocks, sun glistening on the water. This is the life! She thought. Bondi beach was the most beautiful beach. She watched the surfers hitting the waves, and spotted the cute guy who she saw the first day she arrived. She sat down on the sand and read her magazine. She comes across an advert for a shampoo and conditioner, Aussie. She saw this In England, but never thought of purchasing it. Janie never used anything else other than her favourite shampoo and conditioner. That she’s used for years! But now she’s in oz, and they don’t sell it, she’s looking for something new. A few minutes later the cute guy walks towards her smiling.. “hey” he says sitting next to her. “heya...” Janie replies nervously. “I saw you looking at me and my friends earlier, are you interested in suffering or are you interested in me?” he gives a cheeky smile.. Janie likes goes for guys to be this forward. No honestly she does! His cute too she thought. “um....” she says looking down to her magazine blankly. “im brody” he says putting out this hand for her to shake, “im Janie” she replies giving her hand. “You’re not from around here are you?” “ No I’m from England, I’ve moved here with my dad. He grew up here.” they continue to chat the afternoon away..

The Aussie Life..
Brody asked Janie on a date. Janie popped into the local shops to find the aussie shampoo and conditioner, I need my hair to be perfect, maybe this aussie luck will help? She thought to herself. She came across the products, and decided to go with the luscious long range. Hoping she’ll get her beautiful long luscious locks back to life.

That Night she groomed her hair with the aussie products, ready for the date. She was amazed..At how wonderful her hair looked....aussie certainly brought her hair back to life, and in actual fact Australia bought her life back!

Brody knocked on the door, Janie wearing a cute navy dress, and even cuter bow in her hair, opened the door..”Hey” she said with a huge smile. “hey, you looking amazing. & wow Jeanie your hair is gorgeous... how did I not notice how beautiful it was at the beach?” Janie laughed. “Put it this way, it needed some tlc and some Aussie in its life” they smiled and walked to his car.

Theeee End!

Wow, that was maybe too long. But I enjoyed writing it anyway!

Battle of the Straightener’s: Remington Shine Therapy vs. GHD Kiss Hot Pink IV Styler

In the pink corner: The GHD'S.

What made me buy them?
The colour to be quite frank, I love pink. These beauties are hot pink and limited edition, so I thought id better grab a pair before it was too late.
I was looking for a new pair of straighteners..and was unsure what to buy, I had been looking at ghds for along time, debating weather to get them or not.
I have had so many straighteners in the past....6 in total.
The pair that i currently had was a basic pair of Remington's, they had a heat controller and was great, but the smells coming form the plates started to put me off, I burnt them with all the hair products i use!
I had my eyes on the babyliss pro 230 radiance, which had some great reviews.
So i was stuck on what to choose, My final decision was this: ghds are a great trust worthy brand, if i buy these, il have them along time,
with the babyliss, I didn't know how long they would last before they broke, and they arnt cheap.
Loads of people i know have ghds, and they've lasted for a good few years.

How much did they cost?
£135 - yeah ALOT! I got a box, three ghd lip glosses a how to DVD and some ghd heat protection with them though.

Where did I buy them?
A hair dressers in my town.

My thoughts?
They are awesome, BUT, after having them a few months Ive realised how bad they are for my hair. They are really hot, which is a big no no.
No matter what heat protection I use, I still think its destroying my hair.
It doesn't have a heat controller, so its set at 200 C I believe, altho somewhere i read its a massive 320 C! Waay to hot.
They would be fab if they had a control temperature.
The final result is great, but I'm thinking of my hair in the long run!

My Final thoughts:

Advantages:
  • They look pretty the colour the style, everything
  • The plates are smooth, making it easier to glide down the hair
  • The on/off switch is inside so your not switching it buy mistake whilst straightening
  • Heats up in just 60 seconds
  • There hard wearing, you know they wont break anytime soon, even if they do your guaranteed

    Disadvantages:
    • The temperature is too hot! they need a temp control
    • They are abit pricey

In the Blue corner: The Remington's

What made me buy them?
Well, if you have read the last paragraph you'd know, the ghds are ruining my hair big time.
I heard some fantastic reviews of these straighteners, so thought id try them out.

How much did they cost & where did I biy them?
I was very lucky and bought them for £40 at Argos, they had a sale that weekend, they normally retail at around £60-70

My thoughts?
I have been using them for about 3 months now.
My hair has felt so much more shiny and soft, I have been setting them to about 190c, as anything lower doesn't really straighten.
It does exactly what it says, adds shine! Thanks to the
Combination of shine enhancing vitamins E and Avocado.
I have finally found the perfect straighteners! Whey!

Final Thoughts:
Advantages:
  • They have temp control
  • Reasonably priced
  • they heat up in 15 seconds- world breaking time right?
  • They have vitamin E and avocodo to add shine to your hair
  • There easy to handle
  • they have a lock, that shuts the plates together when off, perfect for travelling
  • after 60 mins they shut done, safety first people!
  • They make your hair smoooooooth
  • They just do the job brilliantly.
  • They have a 5 year guarantee

    Disadvantages:
  • The control Buttons are in a awkward place, so when styling you tend to make the temperature go up or down, so annoying!
And that's all I can think of!

I hope this review helped for those looking for a new straightener!

Secret Santa! Beauty Blogger's Christmas Gift's

Hi Everyone :)
This is just an idea that I came up with,
which I would love to hear your view's..
I was thinking wouldn't it be great to have a secret santa..
What is a secret santa?
Secret Santa is a tradition in which members of a group are randomly assigned other members to whom they anonymously give a gift. Often practiced in workplaces, or amongst large families, participation in it is usually voluntary. It offers a way for many people to give and receive a gift at low cost to those involved.

But obviously, it would involve with all the beauty blogger's.
I would have a form which you all signed...then Id pair up randomly.
I would only let beauty blogger's sign up if I know there 'safe' meaning they have a blog.etc..if i have any suspicions I wouldn't let them take part.
the other option is to have you pick a chirstmas buddy yourself..you could pick 5 beauty bloggers and id pick one of them to be your partner depending if they picked you too..

Before I go any further Id just like to see who's interested..

It will probably be no one
LOL :)

Happy Halloween!

Hello Everyone!
Meet Jack our pumpkin! I Have to give Scott all the credit for this, as he took over carving it out, so well done him! & If you haven't already noticed our inspiration was Jack from The Nightmare before Christmas...Look's rather scary doesn't it?

I'm gutted they didn't have the shoes in her size!

[Sorry for the crap iPhone pic quality]

My First Lush Haul

Top left to right: Fairy tale sugar scrub , Breath of fresh air skin toner, The comforter,
Oatifix fresh face mask
Bottom left to right: Think pink, Vanishing cream & baby face.

Firstly can I just say the people who work in Lush in Leed's
are the most, friendly, helpful, bubbly, nice people I have ever met?
It was such a joy to shop in there, a lady helped me find everything I was looking for as it was my first shop in lush, I knew id love it in there and I do!
She chose the right face mask that suites my skin and tested everything on my hands, even the bath bombs wer thrown into a bucket of water for me to see!
The lady offered to show me around the new lush spa downstairs, but I thought my boyfriend had been waiting enough, I must have been in there for a hour. :$

Everything from the smell to the layout is amazing, its by far my favorite shop.
I was gutted though..as When i came home I realised the lady forgot to put two things in my basket, even tho I asked her if she had- and that was pop in the bath and so white. Oh well il have to pick it up next time!
I'm pleased with my products and noticed the Christmas pressies, the lady said with what I was describing, with all my favorite smells the snow fair gift box would be my fave, and i looked at the ingredients and it is! I looked at Scott with puppy dog eyes :)
So what did I actually get? some reviews...
Fairy tale sugar scrub £2.50 - A Christmas collection! the lady said the inspiration is a chocolate White mouse, that you can get a Christmas, its so cute! it has a tail too! the smell is gorgeous, and just like any other sugar scrub leaves the skin super soft.

Breath of fresh air skin toner- £6.21 The lady also recommend I used this toner, I like it except its broken..it doesn't spray..It sprays once after fighting with it for 5 minutes so I'm rather disappointed about that! is it just me? do i need to adjust it?

The comforter £3.89- This the bath bar I am using at the moment! It does exactly what its called, comforts you, and the smell is out of this world, my bath times are now even more luxurious now lush is in my life! it turns the water a hot pink colour too!

Oatifix fresh face mask- Ive actually forgotten the price! it was round the £5 mark I think.
I was asked what skin type I am, and I said i sometimes get very dry, so she showed me too masks, Oatifix and seaweed, I loved them both, they both left my skin so soft, I opted for oatafix as she said it was the most popular, I have applied it once since buying it. Its so cold and refreshing on your skin as you have to keep it in the fridge. The smell just smells of oats, which isnt too nice but its what it does not what it smells like! I'm so sad these fresh face marks only last 3 weeks! I hope I use it up in time.

Think pink Bath Ballistic £3.20- This caught my eye as it was pink obviously! The lady threw it into the water before I could say another word and it just dissolved and boom the water was pink! the hearts and flowers float to the top too which is cute, I cant wait to try this!

Vanishing cream £14.95 - Again I was recommend this, I haven't tried it yet so I cant give a review, but its meant to work wonders for the skin, the lush ladies at the store swear by it, I thought Id give it a whirl. Its pricey but it lasts a year!

& Finally....

Baby face cleanser £3.95 - I'm sure you all know what this is, I've heard so many raves about it, I thought I just have to give it a try! Il use it to remove my make up, I haven't yet - but il give it ago tonight!

Thanks for reading, Lauren. xx

David and Goliath

David and Goliath

David and Goliath are one of my favourite brands. I have been a fan for years!
So I thought id share why I love them with you all with a dedicated blog post.

As you may know I was born & bread in London. I used to walk to the west end all the time with my mum, it look us an hour to walk but my gosh, did it get us fit!! It was a great walk... we'd start off in Covent garden, where the first David and Goliath shop I ever discovered is, at the time I was very rock chick like, and I admit now, I labelled myself 'scene’ Big mistake but hey...we all have regrets?
I loved this shop as there were so many rock & roll tee shirts and it was totally my style,

I love bright colours, & that’s what David and Goliath are best for, there shop is like a rainbow of fabness! The slogans are so funny and cute, there are some rude ones which I wouldn’t personally buy but never the less there still awesome.

The second D & G Shop I came across is in Carnaby Street, opposite another fave shop of mine, vans and next is Roxy, yep you guessed it another favourite shop! :-)
This shop is more Nightwear and Underwear, Personally I love the nightwear the best, so I adore this shop!
In the below picture; the left bottom and top picture is Carnaby streets shop and on the right top and bottom is Covent garden.

I have made some collages of what’s on my wish list,
Top picture: 4 t-shirts, (pink I’ve got the scoop, black I love the night life, grey happy hours, blue French hell) A pink I love London Bag and a pink I’ve got the scoop Hoodie.

Below Are my top night ware items I want..From L-R: One tough cookie set, inc Hoodie, vest & bottoms. I love robots PJ bottoms, nerdy but cute :] & a it’s all about me Vest and boxer set.

Lastly id like to mention the skinny jeans! I need a pair! I’ve put the black and pink on my wish list and maybe for next summer, the blue and lemon..but the lilac are nice too...gosh I love & want them all!!

So that’s a favourite brand of mine, I’m tagging all of you to find out what yours is!
